There are no special provisions under telemedia law for service providers based in non-EU countries (Siegen Regional Court, judgment of July 9, 2013, Case No. 2 O 36/12). Even under private international law, service providers based in non-EU countries are not in breach of competition law by failing to comply with Section 5 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), for example.
