Stainless hose clamps for the gas stove
Advertising – It is not easy to find good quality hose clamps in Cambodia and especially in Siem Reap. Most of you will be cooking with a gas stove like me. The risk of a leaky pipe is omnipresent and I don’t really want to set my house on fire. The old rusted hose clamps on my gas cylinder pressure reducer have always bothered me. But the rust on the clamps was not the biggest problem: The band of the clamp was no longer properly held by the clamp screw – in other words, the band was slipping. Therefore, it was time to replace the old clamps with more reliable stainless steel hose clamps.
The stores – whether small or large – have always offered me only inferior hose clamps or galvanized clamps. Since the search for decent hose clamps became too time-consuming, I decided to simply order in Germany.
A few clamps do not weigh anything and can be sent to Siem Reap without any problems together with some other small things in a 2 kg package.
I decided to use the hose clamps from NietFullThings / Niroxal (external link to stainless steel hose clamps / click here) – because there is also a practical set with several small sizes. The clamps are made entirely of V4A stainless steel and the screw is additionally galvanized.
When asked, I was told that the screw is galvanized so that it slides more easily and does not interlock in the thread.
The clamps came in a shrink-wrapped package:
The hose clamps from niroxal also make a good impression on the pressure reducer and gas hose:
